07. Fix Your Citations

Purpose:

There are many listings out there being created by people and companies without your knowledge. They might have created a profile for you but not with your consistent NAP. It is important for you to fix these variations of your NAP to get the best possible result for your local search rankings. Consistency is the key!

Tips:

Fix all variations of your NAP to keep all your Citations Consistent. In the Google Search Box between the open and close "quotations" enter your Name or Address or Phone and see what results you get. You want to find the result that comes up with the largest number.

Example for Name:

"McClain Insurance Services" = 61,700 results

"McClain Insurance" = 27,500 results

"McClain Insurance Services Inc" = 11,800 results


Example for Address:

"10410 19th Ave SE, Ste 100, Everett, WA 98208" = 3,240 results

"10410 19th Ave SE, Suite 100, Everett, WA 98208" = 2 results

"10410 19th Avenue SE, Ste 100, Everett, WA 98208" = 7 results

"10410 19th Avenue SE, Suite 100, Everett, WA 98208" = 3 results

"10410 19th Avenue SouthEast, Suite 100, Everett, WA 98208" = 7 results


Example for Phone:

"425-379-9200" = 22,100 results

"425-xxx-xxxx" = 0 results
